Zoisite var. Tanzanite

Item Description

This sharp crystal of tanzanite is unusually sharp and tapering, and has a special color gradient compared to most which are either blue or purple on one face. Here, in this crystal, the colors blend and mix, so that you have both blue and purple on some faces, showing at the same time. It depends on the lighting, as does all tanzanite coloration. But with even minimal backlighting, you can see strong colors. Standing in a case, it will show good color with even minimal light; and in that lighting you will see both blue and purple tones at the same time. Most tanzanites show only one color per face, and if they are heated to enhance the color, all the more so (thus also indicating this is a natural crystal color). Also, this was sourced from Steve Ulatowski, who got it directly from miners in Tanzania, so we know it is legit color without treatment - natural and strong.
