Item Description
Tanzanite is the blue variety of Zoisite, only found in one place in the world. Faceted Zoisite is one of the most popular gems in the world, and fine crystals are some of the most desirable gem crystals out there. This piece is a beautiful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy Tanzanite crystal from this world famous locality in the Merelani Hills. The crystal is notably tapered on the termination and exhibits good pleochroism with a fine purple hue when viewed from the front / "a" axis, and then a blue color can be seen when looking across the "b" axis. Very good condition all around.
