Item Description
Most peole are familiar with gem Zoisite because everybody has seen Tanzanite, but how often does one encounter good gem Zoisite outside of Tanzania? In the mid 1990s, Pakistan started producing some beautiful metamorphic Zoisite crystals with a gorgeous steel-green color. The material is pleochroic like Tanzanite, but the colors are obvioulys different. This set features a small gem crystal of Zoisite is a notable green hue when viewed along the "a" axis, and a golden-yellow hue along the "b" axis. The accompanying "Emerald" cut gem is a really nice example of gem grade Zoisite from outside of Tanzania as it weighs 6 carats and shows even BETTER pleochroism when rotated in the light. It shows an obivous blue-green hue one direction a golden-yellow hue in another direction and greenish-silver color in the third axis. Yes, there are some visible inclusions, but you just don't see these on the market, so you have you accept it for what it is. A really hard to find and eye-catching gem and crystal set of this elusive material that is no longer being found. This rough and cut set is priced at $950 in the inventory.
