Zoisite (rare purple) ex Obodda

Item Description

Purple zoisite is very rare from anywhere in the world, except for Tanzania where the varietal is called tanzanite. The parallel-growth, two crystal cluster has great glassy luster, is mostly gemmy, with the rest being translucent. The terminations are interestingly etched in to a myriad of tiny, sparkly blades. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The contact at the base, has only very trivial bruising. Very few came out apparently. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this rare cutie at $300, five or more years ago.
