Zoisite (rare pink color!)

The most well known gem variety of Zoisite is Tanzanite, which often checks in every year and the most popular colored gemstone around. Several years ago there was a find of rare pink Zoisite crystals in Afghanistan. Some of the broken crystals were saved and cut into gems making for some of the most unique (unheated) Zoisite stones around. This stone is a lovely, slightly included, "Oval Cabochon" cut stone with an attractive pink hue down the "c" axis. A great collector's stone for those who may not have been able to get one of these gems years ago. Retail value on this stone is $791.60
