Purple is a rare color in the mineral world, and good crystals of purple Zoisite are certainly hard to find. Tanzanite is predominantly blue, so actual purple Zoisite like this is very cool to see. This specimen has smooth, sharp faces with good luster and a pretty good termination for the material. Internally, it's quite gemm when backlit.
