Please note that this crystal is not blue, so it's not technically a Tanzanite in my mind, it's yellow Zoisite with purple and blue zoning. Tanzanite is one of the most popluar gems in the world, and fine crystals are fast becoming some of the most desireable gem crystals in the world. This piece is a beautiful, sharp, lustrous, very well-formed, gemmy, multicolor crystal that shows classic pleochroism with a yellow hue (with a slight blue zone) along the "a" axis, and then a lilac hue when view along the "b" axis. Even though it's small, it's a very attractive little crystal of one of the most popular gem crystals in the world.
