Item Description

Beautiful, sharp, glassy, translucent zircon octahedrons, to 1.1 cm, are richly studded on all sides of this impressive, sculptural large quartz-rich matrix wedge. The clove-brown zircons glow with gorgeous orange-red fire, when back lit. The zircon crystals have rich mustard-yellow fluorescence and part of one face is totally saturated with tiny zircons under fluorescent light! This extinct Colorado fluorine-fluorite mine is known for zircon, but specimens of size, richness and quality are RARE and are very seldom available. Ex Lee Burnett Collection of Morrison, Colorado and self-collected by him in 1979. A MUST for the species or Colorado collector!
