Item Description

A thumbnail sized example of the classic thorium and uranium bearing Zircons (var: Cyrtolite) from an unlikely locality in Riverside County, California. This piece shows sharp, lustrous, pyramidal faces with an odd greenish-beige hue, free of matrix. I don't think I've actually seen a specimen from this locality before this piece. A cool example of these metamict Zircons that would make a great addition for any California mineral collector or a collector of Zircons.
