Item Description

Zircon is found in wide range of colors, and for many years, we have seen some superb blue Zircon gems coming out of Cambodia. These stones are certainly the pinnacle for blue Zircon, often found in larger than average size stones with superb saturated color and excellent clarity. This stone is a rarely seen bi-color example featuring a gorgeous aqua blue color throughout the majority of the gem, but if you look closely, you can see some slight golden colored areas. The gem has nearly eye clean clarity with a traditional "Step Oval" cut. It is very difficult to obtain large, clean stones from this locality and bi-color stones are exceedingly rare. The light just sparkles around this gem ! Keep in mind that because of the birefringence of the material, it is not very easy to photograph, so that's the why the pictures look a bit "fuzzy". A really special and interesting stone for anybody who loves Zircons. PLEASE NOTE: This is natural Zircon, and I mention this because some people confuse natural Zircon with cubic zirconia (a synthetic diamond simulant).
