Item Description
An impressive, large for the locale, 2.2 x 1.7 x 1.7 cm, sharp, tetragonal-dipyramidal zircon crystal is aesthetically set on the sugary marble matrix with numerous contrasting actinolite fragments. The highly lustrous, deep wine-red crystal has numerous areas of translucence, that GLOW with cherry-red to reddish-orange color when backlit. Complete all-around. One face is contacted, with no damage, per se and one lower corner is dinged. These certainly have minimal impact to the high quality of this piece. Mustard-yellow zircon and pink marble fluorescence. A fine zircon from Dr. Ed David's first colletion. Ed was Science Advisor to President Nixon and assembled several world-class collections. The piece diplays well without aid. Value??
