Here we a gorgeous, fine quality and rarely seen matched pair of pink Zircons gems from Tanzania. In the gem world, the name that used to describe the color is "champagne pink". They have an uncanny, brilliant, almost metallic quality. The clarity of these stones is excellent and has just breathtaking multi-color flash, which looks best in sunlight! The matching "Round Brilliant" cuts on these stones help them glow in any kind of lighting. You can see the classic birefringence (facet doubling) that Zircon displays in the photo. Zircon is becoming more and more popular among gem collectors and jewelers/gem dealers due to the fact that it occurs in a wide range of colors, plus it has a notably high refractive index and fire. It's important to note that Zircon is sometimes confused with Cubic Zirconia, which is a lab-grown Diamond simulant, whereas Zircon is a completely natural silicate mineral. These stones will make an excellent pair of earrings and will look fabulous in white gold!
