Zircon (fluorescent)

Item Description

A huge, very sharp, highly lustrous, reddish-brown Zircon crystal from an unknown locality in Goias, Brazil. Textbook pseudo-octahedral crystal form, with a wide, beveled girdle. This particular crystal has been contacted on one side so the the most interesting view is actually directly at the termination. With the best corner at the top you can appreciate the full 5.4 cm tip-to-tip width. Yellowish fluorescence with a hint of royal blue. Not perfect, but for the size and luster, a good Zircon.
