Item Description

A very good textbook-style, large single crystal of Zircon. Every bit of this 2.8 cm across crystal is lustrous - including the contacted and resorbed areas on the back. The edges are bevelled along the bases of the pyramidal terminations, and the deep cinammon & root beer color is very attractive. It is also highly fluorescent. An aesthetic and important specimen of good size and heft for this locale. An oldtimer, certainly. Fluorescent yellow in ultraviolet light
