Any Colorado collector can tell you about the famous and unusual pegmatite locality of St. Peter's Dome where some very unique and easily recognizable Zircon specimens have been found for years. The locality at St. Peter's Dome is actually a Dana locality, and truly is one of the great old Colorado collecting sites. This specimen is a very attractive Zircon featuring a sharp, distinct, pinkish-brown crystal measuring on minor matrix. These pieces are becoming very difficult for me to track down these days, so don't miss out on this Colorado classic.
