Item Description

Here we a gorgeous, richly colored Zircon gem from Tanzania. This stone has a rich orange color with a soft hint of a peach overtone, and a brilliant almost metallic quality. The clarity of the stone is excellent, I can only see ONE tiny inclusion. The "Radiant" cut on the gem helps it glow in any kind of lighting. You can see the classic birefringence (facet doubling) that Zircon displays in the photo. Zircon is becoming more and more popular among gem collectors and jewelers/gem dealers due to the fact that it occurs in a wide range of colors, plus it has a notably high refractive index and fire. It's important to note that Zircon is sometimes confused with Cubic Zirconia, which is a lab-grown Diamond simulant, whereas Zircon is a completely natural silicate mineral. If you're considering having this stone set into jewelry, it will look fabulous in white gold! This stone were cut by Brett Kosnar, a 4-time AGTA Spectrum Award winning gem cutter. This stone is priced at $1,037.50 retail. Enjoy.
