For quite a few years there has been some superb color intense blue Zircon gems to come out of Cambodia. This stone has a soft aqua blue color, and really sparkles in the light. It is a decent size, nearly eye-clean gem with a standard "Step Oval" cut. It is very difficult to obtain large, clean stones from this locality. The light just bounces around this gem, and it really looks much better than the photos would indicate because the birefringence makes it look somewhat "fuzzy" but it's actually a very good stone! I think it's safe to say that the BEST blue Zircons come from this country.
