Item Description
This piece is a great example of the classic old Astor Zircons featuring an excellent, sharp, well-formed, isolated crystal of deep red Zircon measuring 2.1 cm sitting on a matrix of white Calcite and black schist. The faces of the crystal are lustrous. With moderate backlighting, you can see some decent internal gemminess as well. The front of the Zircon is in good shape, but the back has a separation mark where it was either intergrown with another Zircon crystal or the pocket wall. It's still a good sized crystal and a fine representation of these now hard to find Zircons that came out in the mid 1990s.
