Item Description
Striking pearlescent clusters of hexagonal plates are dramatically intergrown to form a most sculptural, 3-dimensional and uncommon large specimen from Brazil. Zinnwaldite, named after the Zinnwald area of the historic Erzgebirge of the Czech Republic, is no longer considered to be a species. It is a Mica Group varietal, a series between Siderophyllite and Polylithionite containing lithium (MINDAT). These came out in the 1990s, and are a specific and long treasured find. Choice material from the Chet Lemanski Collection. The impressive frontal view with two poses is pristine.
