A wonderful Zinkenite specimen from the famous San Jose mine. This specimen was mined around 1980, and is a great example of this hard to find species. This piece is one of the better specimens that we have offered from this well known discovery. It features dozens of excellent quality, rare, prismatic, silvery-grey "needles" of the rare sulfosalt, Zinkenite. There were only a handful of these specimens, and this one comes directly from Brian Kosnar's personal Bolivian collection. PLEASE NOTE that this specimen is soft and delicate and must be handled carefully. This is a choice specimen and a great quality piece for what it is. It has been analyzed and confirmed as Zinkenite.
