Item Description
A classic specimen of Franklin ore featuring a band of reddish Zincite (possibly with a thin coating of Sussexite {?}) running through a mixture of white Calcite, dark brown Willemite and silvery-black Franklinite. The Calcite is a vibrant red hue under SW UV light, and the Willemite creates that classic contrast from Franklin with a glowing green color. When it comes to Franklin fluorescent minerals, Calcite and Willemite is as classic as it gets, and to have Zincite and Franklinite on the specimen, just rounds this out as great example of the material.
