Item Description

A very showy and highly unusual specimen of a sculptural, vuggy crust of translucent slag lined with scintillating, gemmy, amber to reddish-orange, secondary zincite crystals (formed from the smelt mix in a furnace). This weird, but very beautiful specimen was recovered from a zinc smelter in Pennsylvania and is probably old-time material. Very seldom available.
