Zincite

Item Description

These specimens are well known from Poland which actually grew in a smelter fire over 40 years ago. These are NOT natural crystals, but they are Zincite. For some years, people were led to believe that these were natural, but don't be fooled. They are brightly colored and have beautiful external luster, and I've seen them in reds, oranges, yellows and greens. This piece is a good overal reference piece, and would make a nice addition to a mineral oddities collection.
