Item Description
A fantastic thumbnail association specimen which according to the label is from the "Firmino Mine) in Linopolis. The piece features a very good sized 1.3 cm semi-spherical group of attractive green colored Zanazziite which is sitting atop slightly translucent golden-bronze colored Muscovite with associated prismatic light pink Tourmaline on the back. Now Tourmaline and Muscovite are obviously common minerals in Brazil, but it's incredibly hard to find them associated with Zanazziite like this! The piece is not 100% perfect, but it's very showy and the size of the Zanazziite "ball" is larger than the vast majority I've seen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12310). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
