Item Description
Zalesiite is a rare hydrated calcium copper arsenate, and a member of the Mixite Group. Most of the good Mixites you'll see on the market are from various European localities. This piece is from Neubulach in the Black Forest of Germany, and is actually the first specimen we've seen from this locality. Small areas of mint-green colored Zalesiite can be seen on the underlying matrix. Associated Quartz can be seen on one side of the specimen. Most of the Zalesiite is small and we've photographed it with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro to lens to better illustrate the qualiyt. A good rarity for any collector of Germany or European minerals.
