Item Description

A cool specimen of the highly colorful calcium copper arsenate, Zalesiite from the type locality in the Czech Republic. This species is the arsenate analogue of Calciopetersite and the lead analogue of Plumboagardite. It was first discovered in 1997, and subsequently found in several dozen localities around the world. This material is hard to find on the market, and it's a great opportunity for a rarities collector to pick one up for their collection. Beautiful to view under the microscope as there are hundreds of "thread"-like acicular strands of bright blue-green Zalesiite to be seen.
