Yellow Tourmaline (Tsilaisite) (rare)

Item Description

Although Tourmaline is found in all colors of the rainbow, yellow is quite possibly the most difficult to find. These "Tsilaisite" Tourmalines are found in only a few isolated localities in the world, and they are among my favorite Tourmaline gems around. This stone has a distinct yellow (with a slight greenish overtone) color in sunlight, which is very difficult to find in Tourmalines. The color certainly looks more green under fluorescent / mercury lighting, so please keep this in mind as the stone does perform a bit of a color shift. This "Trillion" cut gem is only very slightly included and is dazzling in person. I am lucky if I can get my hands on yellow Tourmalines like this more than once a year.
