Yellow Opal (rare locality)

Recently there was a discovery of some exciting gem quality yellow Opal in the West African country of Mali. The majority of the material I've seen has been somewhat milky, but this stone is a higher quality, as it's quite gemmy and glows with color. If any of you remember the vibrant yellow Opal gems that we've offered from Idaho years ago, this stone from Mali is quite similar in terms of color and clarity. This "round brilliant" cut gem has a gorgeous sunshine yellow hue, with a very slight greenish overtone. A small brown inclusion can be seen near the edge of the stone on one side.
