Item Description

Xonotlite is a relatively rare inosilicate (Dana has it listed as an Amphibole), and the best / most well known specimens are those from the famous Wessels Mine in South Africa. This piece is essentially a single "puff ball" group of radiating needles of pinkish-white Xonotlite. They are becoming harder to find on the market these days, but good ones are certainly worthwhile to pick up if you collect rarities.
