Xenotime-(Y) (rare) (rough and cut set)

Xenotime is not seen in gem quality crystals from many localities, and facetted stones are extremely rare. The stone in this set is one of the very few Xenotime (more specifically Xenotime-(Y)) gems that we've have had to offer. The stone itself is a golden-brown color and almost has a metallic sheen on the table. It has a "Rectangle" cut and even though there are visible inclusions, it does have gemmy areas. One does not encounter these stones very often, so if you're a rare stone collector, do not pass this one up. The specimen is a lovely "fan"-shaped group with typical tetragonal habit and very slight internal gemminess when backlit. Priced at $600 for the set.
