Xenotime-(Y) and quartz combinations are very uncommon from this locale, famous for the world's finest bastnasite crystals. Sections of two glassy, translucent, light brown crystals, to 1.8 cm, are aesthetically set on the highly unusual two-sided crystallized quartz matrix. The side with the xenotime crystals has terminated quartz crystals at the top and a contacted face with very little damage. The other side is very strange looking! It's a intergrown mass of lustrous, weirdly etched, vuggy quartz crystals. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. He is the one who first brought these to market at the time.
