Xenotime-(Y) on Quartz (RARE matrix specimen!)

The superb Xenotime-(Y) crystals from Novo Horizonte in Brazil are some of the finest examples of the species ever found. Not only are the crystals large, but they still retain excellent form, sharpness and luster, which is rare for any Xenotime species over a few mm. This piece is an incredibly hard to find MATRIX specimen featuring a well-formed, tetragonal prismatic group with an attractive rich golden-bronze hue measuring 2.6, aesthetically flaring out of a GEMMY, sharp, lustrous, smoky colored Quartz crystal. The piece has a few rough spots, and it's contacted where it was removed from the pocket wall, but you'd be hard-pressed to find another piece of this size and quality from this locality for sale in today's market. A super large miniature / small cabinet for any fan of pegmatite minerals or rare-earth species.
