Item Description

A hard to find specimen of the silver sulfosalt Xanthoconite from Miedzianka. Dark reddish black Xanthoconite can be seen on the dark greenish "Chlorite" matrix. Please note that the given locality for the specimen may not be correct, as I can't find a listing for the species from Miedzianka. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3061). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
