Item Description

Wurtzite is an uncommon Zn-Fe sulfosalt and is the dimorph of sphalerite. Sharp, brown, lustrous, hexagonal crystals, to 3 mm, totally fill the sculptural vug in gossan matrix on this extremely rich and excellent example from this old lead-zinc mine. Rare in this richness. Ex Scott Williams Collection, well-known dealer/collector who passed away in 1997.
