Item Description
Rich orange, mostly transparent to translucent, lustrous wulfenite window panes, to 7 mm, are richly and aesthetically clustered on the lightweight gossan matix. The beveled edges add to the aesthetics of these fine tabular crystals. Abundant spherical clusters of the yellow mimetite microcrystals with the wulfenites are a typical and fine complement. This showy and excellent combination from this extinct Pb-Zn-Cu mine is from a lot that was marketed at the 2007 Tucson Show. The mine was intermittently active from 1872 to the present (MINDAT). From the Gary Weaver Collection, a well-known California and Arizona collector. He passed away in 2019. This is a significant and pretty example from a rare locality!
