Item Description
Lustrous, glassy, yellow-orange wulfenite blades richly and attractively cover both sides of the sturdy gossan matrix on this showy specimen from the famous Rowley Mine of Arizona. The wulfenites on the front are beautifully accented with reddish-orange mimetite balls, making this a classic combination piece from the Rowley. However, this piece ois probably the richest single example I have seen in terms of overall color on the rock...most are sparsely covered specimens. Although no crystals are the famous gem windowpanes, this is overall a rich piece, and super colorful. This is a rich and fairly distinctive color of wulfenite from this highly desirable, but far less common wulfenite locality from Arizona. Highly representative of the combination species and locale. Ex Robert Fender Collection and dates to the 1960s or 70s, or earlier.
