Item Description

A showy and good quality display specimen of this now classic material. Many translucent, yellow -orange color, tabular Wulfenite crystals measuring up to 5 mm and are associated with beautiful green spherical Mimetite on a matrix of limonite gossan from the famous Ojuela Mine. The color combination along with the fantastic crystallization is really gorgeous. No major damage that I can see with the naked eye, but there is some superficial roughness in a few spots where the piece was attached to the pocket wall. These piece will not be around forever, so don't miss out. For those of you who remember the abundance of yellow Adamites from Mapimi on the market in the 1970s, look at how they have appreciated in value over the years! This piece is priced at $950 in our inventory. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds (#RR0856) who passed in August of 2020. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
