Wulfenite with Mimetite (ex Bob Reynolds Collection)

A showy and fine quality display specimen of this now classic material. Several translucent, yellowish-orange, tabular Wulfenite crystals measuring up to 1.1 cm and are associated with beautiful green spherical Mimetite "balls" on a matrix of limonite gossan from the famous Ojuela Mine. The color combination along with the fantastic crystallization is really gorgeous, and these piece will not be around forever, so don't miss out. There are a few contacts, but the piece is still very showy and eye-catching. For those of you who remember the abundance of yellow Adamites from Mapimi on the market in the 1970s, look at how they have appreciated in value over the years! Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
