Wulfenite with Green Mimetite

This specimen of rare green mimetite with wulfenite is notable for two reasons : the color of the mimetite; and the style of sharp wulfenite crystals. These only came out in a few pockets around 2008-2010, and were highly valued at the time as we almost never see such green mimetite from anywhere. The velvety, dark color here is among the best - so good, few believed it until analysis was made. The sharp wulfenite crystals are a rare habit for the species, sharp and pointy, called pseudo-scalenohedral. They are found here only rarely, over the decades. Such crystals do not come from elsewhere, to my knowledge. We had most of the production from Ojuela at the time, including this one which was priced at $1000. However, it incurred slight damage in handling and so there are a few damaged points, although just a few among dozens of good crystals here - so it is still a nice display specimen.
