Item Description
The Finch Mine is renowned for producing beautiful specimen of Wulfenite coated by Quartz. This piece is a lovely display specimen featuring several attractive, tabular, eye-catching orange colored crystals of Wulfenite measuring up to 8 mm, which are coated with drusy Quartz. The underlying rock has a slight blue tone to it, so the soft white Quartz has created a lovely gentle pastel contrast with the orange Wulfenite against the blue host rock. Additionally, the color of the Wulfenite crystals has a slight peach hue when backlit, creating a color rarely seen in the species. No major damage, only minor imperfections. A great quality and showy display specimen that sits on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Hard to find on the market and a must have for any fan of Arizona minerals or worldwide Wulfenites. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California.
