Wulfenite with Dolomite and Hematite

Vintage Touissit material from the 1960s, these attractive yellow Wulfenites are exactly what you would expect from the classic finds of the late 1970s through the early 1980s. Tabular with often-beveled edges, the very good luster and excellent translucence really accentuate the pleasant, lemon-yellow color. The Wulfenites display well, having good individuality and sharp form. Under SW and LW, the Wulfenites have a definite, but muted, response to the UV, while under SW the Dolomites are a bright blue-white and the scarce Calcites are typical beacons of vivid orange. The largest crystal is about 1.2 cm on edge and the Wulfenites, by and large, are in exceptionally good condition with just a small amount of wear in a very few spots. Fine Wulfenites are the centerpieces of this quality, highly representative small-cabinet piece from the famous mines at Touissit.
