Wulfenite with Descloizite

A very large and pretty display specimen, featuring particularly bright and shiny crystals of so-called 'sandwich style' wulfenite, from classic finds of the 1970s or before. This piece has a really good condition overall, nearly pristine which is a miracle for the size. It presents great display views on both sides! The brown sparkly coating beneath many of the wulfenite crystals is microcrystalline descloizite, which can be ugly in some specimens but in this case, it works and sets off the wulfenites nicely by color and texture contrast. Few enough examples in this size have been preserved.
