A SHARP 1.5 cm crystal standing starkly upon matrix dominates this fine locality specimen. The piece is from the Pure Potential, nearby to the Red Cloud Mine and yet so different in that it produced much vanadiite and only a very few wulfenite specimens. However, the ones it did produce, like this one, are MORE RED than the nearby Red Cloud wulfenites! Red Cloud wulfs are red-orange. These are just red. This is a superb and important locality piece. Valued $1000-up, it cannot be mailed but hand carry can usually be arranged to most places.
