Wulfenite w/ Descloizite (RARE) ex Harter & Potucek, Murphy Coll.

A sculptural and RARE wulfenite combination from this famous Arizona mine. Classic butterscotch-colored wulfenite prisms, to 9 mm, are dramatically clustered on both sides of the gossan matrix on this very artistic piece. Descloizite is VERY RARE from the Glove Mine. MINDAT does not list the species for the locale. Sprays of tiny greenish descloizite needles are richly scattered on the wulfenite prisms. The aesthetic quality and richness of this fine rarity are particularly noteworthy. The piece has a fine provenance, having been in the Paul Harter and Tony Potucek Collections. From an Arizona collection. Priced by reputable Arizona dealers we know and love, quite fairly many years ago to a friend of theirs at $750.
