Item Description

Butterscotch-colored, lustrous "sandwich-style" tabular wulfenite crystals, to 9 mm, are aesthetically scattered on the large blocky matrix. Clusters of glassy, colorless complex calcite rhombs and the underlying contrasting crust of Mg- or Fe-oxides make for a showy combination from a 1990 find at the famous Glove Mine. UNUSUAL! The lighter outer layer of the wulfenites may be Descloizite, as noted on the former dealer label. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. Bob is a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. An excellent and uncommon large combination with the isolated wulfies from this well-known wulfenite producing locale. Most wulfenite specimens from here are tightly intergrown clusters.
