Item Description

San Pedro Corralitos is renowned for the famous late 1960s finds of yellow to orange botryoidal mimetite. Wulfenite is VERY RARE and is highly desirable from any mine here! This dramatic and impressive large plate is festooned with sparkly, transparent to translucent, golden-yellow prisms to about 1.0 cm. The piece is in outstanding condition for such rich coverage, as it is essentially pristine! Superlative, rare and rich large material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Purchased in Tucson in 1987 from Mexico expert, Peter Megaw, according to Bob's label. Valued at $2000-2500. Try to find another of this size and quality! A MUST for the Mexico or species collector. We have only seen under 4 of these in decades of collecting!
