Item Description

The historic and extinct Pb-Zn mines at Bleiberg are the Type Locality for wulfenite. The last mine closed in the late 1980s (MINDAT). Lustrous to matte-finish, two-toned, sandwich-style prisms, to 8 mm, aesthetically line a sculptural cavernous vug in chalcedony matrix on this showy and excellent small cabinet from this renowned locale. Classic Bleiberg wulfenite.
