Item Description
Rich and sculptural solid wulfenite on this fine classic from the famous and historic Type Locality. Two generations of lustrous, tabular, saffron-yellow wulfenite prisms with beveled edges, to 1.4 cm, are densely intergrown and festooned on the piece. Lead-zinc mining started in the 1500s and this excellent piece is from the last mine to close in the late 1980s. This may be an old piece. Choice, very rich and essentially pristine larger Bleiberg wulfenite. This is perhaps hundreds of years old and from the first location the species was described from !!! that is amazing!
