Wulfenite "tower" (classic locale)

Tabular wulfenite prisms are dramatically and sculpturally stacked and intergrown on sturdy matrix on this impressive and excellent large old-time specimen from the famous Erupcion Mine at Los Lamentos. The lustrous butterscotch prisms have a striking preferential coating of yellow-green vanadinite variety endlichite adding color and pizzazz. The imposing large crystal near the base is 3.5 cm. This unusual piece is in great shape, with only a few gently bruised/contacted prisms on the periphery. Pieces of this style came out in the 1960s and 70s. From an East Coast collection.
