Wulfenite (rare USA locale)

Amazingly, an essentially pristine, very rich and sculptural small cabinet wulfenite from the famous Glove Mine of Arizona. Lustrous, variable butterscotch-brown wulfenite blades are densely intergrown in a striking and typical for the locale boxwork pattern. The windowpanes reach 2.2 cm and are partially translucent. Some of the blades have a preferential overgrowth of smaller crystals, adding interest. It is nearly impossible to find an essentially pristine Glove wulfenite, such as this; and it is of a style found several times in the 1960s-70s. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He amassed a significant mineral collection. Bob passed away in 2020. This is a very fine example of the species and famed locale. Excellent quality older material. Valued at $1000.
